    Doctoral candidate
    I am conducting research, in order to acquire my PhD, as a member of the Wireless Communications Systems Group (WCSG). The WCSG belongs to the Digital Telecommunications Systems and Networks Laboratory of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. It was established in 2004 by Prof. George K. Karagiannidis.
    The WCSG currently consists of one (1) Professor, three (3) postdoctoral researchers and five (5) PhD students. It is a dynamic and particularly active research group that has published hundreds of scientific and technical papers.
    The WCSG conducts fundamental and applied research in the broader fields of telecommunications systems and signal processing, both independently and by means of more than 30 international collaborations. In particular, the research interests and experience of the Group spans a variety of research areas:

    In the context of my diploma thesis, we discuss a methodology for the implementation of a software agent designed to improve the health care delivery process. The application allows storage, retrieval and interpretation of patient information to help professionals in accomplishing their daily tasks.

  • CFO in OFDM   [2013-4]

    Presentation of the Carrier Frequency Offset in an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing system. The project was based on two different channel projects, Nakagami-m and FWGN Clarke/Gans Model, both in case of multiple routing. To estimate the CFO we used the Classen technique.

  • Radio wave coverage and radio link of the municipality of Kilkis   [2013-4]

    The aim of this paper is to calculate the optimal radio coverage and radio link of the region of Kilkis populated by 80.419 inhabitants. I took into consideration the existing laws and the different losses that exist between the links and according to the specifications we choose the receiver and the transmitter for the optimal solution.

  • Digital modulation systems in channels of different types of distortion   [2013-4]

    Digital transmission over AWGN limited bandwidth channel. Signal design. Demodulation, error probability – performance evaluation of digital PAM systems. Digitally modulated signals with memory. Design best emission-reception filters, channel equalization. Configuring multi-carrier and OFDM. Digital transmission through multipath fading channels. Configuring continuous phase carrier. Spread spectrum communication systems. Code multiplexing.

 

  • Analysis of volumetric displays as a telecommunication system.   [2013-4]
